Sports Day

I think every Korean school has a Sports Day, which is like what we call a Field Day in the US. At my school, classes were divided into four teams based on colors. Students stayed after school every day for the week leading up to Sports Day to practice jumping rope and dancing and perfect their team cheers and songs. I was on the white team and I had a lot of fun, even though I had to be at school at 8 AM on a SATURDAY. Good thing I love my school.

Here are some pictures! I took some of them, and I found others on the school website.

Cute student wearing hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) and rainbow socks.

ME!

They tied my legs together and made me waddle around the track! And I lost to my approximately 50-year-old co-teacher Hwan Moon Duk.

My co-teacher, Park Jae Chun ("Spring")

And some random photos of the school.

I don't get this student's hair! How is it like that? She's so cute.
