School English Contest

My school had an English speech contest about a month or two ago (I know, I am really behind on updating this!) First, every group auditioned, and the English teachers, myself included, chose the best groups to perform in the actual contest. Unfortunately this meant that all of the Grade 1 groups got cut. Some of the students were really great, and I was really surprised at how good some of them are at English. Plus, my student who used to live in Texas and my student who used to live in LA gave really good speeches about cultural differences. Anyway, this was one of the more enjoyable school functions as I actually understood what was going on!
This was the first place group. Their English was good and they were really funny. Listen for the entire auditorium screaming when they pretend to kiss.

This is one of my best/favorite students. She is super-nice and super-smart. She speaks so well even though she's in Grade 2. Her dream is to study English in college and become a diplomat and solve all the world's problems. I want to be her friend.
